These are complementary pet food for cats, made primarily with freeze-dried chicken meat and chicken liver. Depending on the variety, other natural ingredients such as pumpkin, blueberries, cranberries, barley grass or egg yolk are added. Each variety therefore offers a slightly different flavour combination.

High meat content and gentle processing

The main ingredient is freeze-dried chicken meat, accounting for 88% in most varieties. A further 10% consists of freeze-dried chicken liver. In the egg yolk variety, chicken liver accounts for 5% and dried egg yolk for 6%.

Freeze-drying is a gentle processing method in which the ingredients are first frozen and then dehydrated. This helps preserve the characteristic taste and aroma of the ingredients while making the finished product lightweight, easy to store and convenient to portion.

Simple ingredients without unnecessary additives

Dr Malou bases these treats on a simple recipe. The lollipops contain no added sugar, artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. In addition to chicken meat and liver, each variety contains small amounts of other ingredients that give it its distinctive flavour.

Barley grass variety:
88% freeze-dried chicken meat, 10% freeze-dried chicken liver, 1% dried barley grass, 0.7% yam powder, 0.27% cellulose.

Egg yolk variety:
88% freeze-dried chicken meat, 5% freeze-dried chicken liver, 6% dried egg yolk, 0.7% yam powder, 0.27% cellulose.

Analytical constituents: crude protein 71%, crude fat 13%, crude fibre 2%, crude ash 6%, moisture 6%. Energy value: 366 kcal / 100 g. One lollipop weighing approximately 1.6 g contains 5.8 kcal.

Feeding recommendation

The recommended daily amount depends on the cat's body weight:

• 0.5–2 kg: 1 g per day
• 2–4 kg: 1–2 g per day
• 4–6 kg: 2–5 g per day
• over 6 kg: 3–6 g per day

These are general recommendations. The actual amount should be adjusted according to the cat's age and activity level. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
